The Archiproducts Design Awards celebrate global design excellence. Launched for the first time in 2016, this competition is aimed at key players in the world of design and architecture and aims to reward products that through new materials, forms or functions are able to
revolutionise and improve the quality of life of today and tomorrow.
The Canalgrande bed, designed by Matteo Ragni and Tiziano Carnieletto, won this year’s coveted award.
‘A project created to celebrate the lightness of thoughts like the most beautiful dreams. A headboard as light as a feather, with taut lines that, in Tiziano’s eyes, recall the silhouette of the iron of a gondola, an icon so dear to Twils since its beginnings more than 40 years ago’ says Matteo Ragni.
Canalgrande is a project born from the conversation between an entrepreneur and a designer, an idea that is reflected in the memories of two individuals who have a different outlook aimed at a single horizon, that of the intelligent, well-made, beautiful product.
It is good design in its most natural expression, in the wake of a modus operandi that has made Made in Italy a collaborative paradigm leading to excellence.
